Over mijn reis
As of February 2018 I am living in Salatiga, mid-Java, for research of my Master's thesis and to travel until July 2018. This is a very special trip to me, both in terms of academic interests, and in terms of personal interests, because my roots are in Indonesia and I have never been there before.. My grandfather is from Ambon, the Moluccan Islands, and my grandmother from Bandung, Java. I will share my stories and experiences of Indonesia on this blog with you.
My past stories on this blog are about my great solo traveling trip to Central and South America in 2017. I started my journey in Mexico in January 2017 and there, I traveled on the whole of Mexico for three months. I really fell in love with the country, and I am planning to actually live there once again in my life. I then traveled more in Central America, to Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras and Nicaragua. Then I flew to Peru to meet my parents Sandra and Jonas and my twin brother Joost, in order to travel together. It was one big journey, and you can read about it more in my blogs, in Dutch!
